Don’t order take out from here.
For $40 I was underwhelmed. Jalapeño Poppers and the Wipeout burger. It was good. But I’ve had better for less.
Your primary value is the experience. I only walked in to pick up my order but it seemed like a very cool place to sit down with friends! The $40 probably would have been worth it had I spent time there with good company.
However, I didn’t.
Without the experience the food is overpriced. (I will say, the poppers weren’t deep fried, and they had bacon, extra star for bacon in the poppers!)

came here with my family on vacay. katie was very attentive and gave us everything we needed! we all ordered crushes and they were good but it was humid so they got watered down easily. the only things were when we got sat at our table, the seats were soaking wet. i had to ask for napkins to wipe them down. another thing i would recommend is COASTERS!!! the condensation on the drinks drenched the table. other than that, the live music was lovely and the service is amazing. we come back here every year for a reason!!!

I went to CVS in Bethany that shares a parking lot with THE BOATHOUSE. There was a blue tesla with PA tags ( parked in a 30 minute CVS parking spot) next to me with 2 Dalmatians in the car. When I came back out the car & dogs were still there. I called animal welfare & DE state police to report this. After 35 minutes I went up to THE BOATHOUSE hostess stand spoke to the older woman hostess with yellow white hair & asked if she could announce to the patrons to check on the dogs. I shared i called animal welfare. The woman was really rude & said it was her daughter's dogs & car & that the dogs were fine. She told me I should've came there first and that it was none of my business. One of thr patrons waiting in line praised me & also thought this woman was really rude. I'm a year round resident & regular customer of the COTTAGE. I wouldnt ho to THE BOATHOUSE after being treated like this & would not recommend it to any of my Airbnb guests. I spoke with Mike the manager & shared my negative experience. Not hopeful he will even speak to this rude old woman but it was worth a try. I hope SODEL has training classes on HOW NOT TO BE RUDE TO PATRONS!
